Free UGC video script template
Write a UGC video that sounds like a person, not a campaign brief.
Build one clear creator-led video with an honest hook, relevant context, a product demonstration, visible proof and a next step that fits the message. Script the message clearly without scripting a false experience.
The quick version is nine lines: audience, problem, hook, context, product moment, demonstration, proof, honest limitation, CTA. The stages below build each line properly.

The nine-line script builder.
Complete these nine lines, then read them out loud as one story:
The eight stages, in order.
Define one viewer
Core rule. Write for one recognisable viewer, not a demographic category.
Choose the video angle
Write three hooks
Core rule. The opening should make a clear promise about the video, not an unsupported promise about the product.
Establish honest context
Core rule. Context explains why you are showing the product. It should not manufacture authority you do not have.
Introduce the product naturally
Core rule. Explain the product through the task it performs, not through a list of adjectives.
Plan the demonstration
Add evidence and honest limitations
Core rule. Showing what you corrected often makes the demonstration more credible, not less.
Finish with a relevant CTA and disclosure
Core rule. The CTA should continue the message, not interrupt it with a generic sales instruction.
The proof test, before you record: can the viewer see what I am claiming, is this my own experience, am I separating fact from opinion, and is the commercial relationship clear? Would the message still be accurate without dramatic adjectives?
Pick the length, then plan the recording.
Use the script to protect clarity and accuracy. Use your own delivery to protect credibility.
- 15 to 20 seconds. Hook, problem, product and proof, CTA. One point, no context detour.
- 30 to 45 seconds. Adds honest context and one limitation. The default for most UGC.
- 45 to 60 seconds. Hook, situation, previous approach, test, demonstration, result, correction, best fit, CTA and disclosure.
- The recording plan. One primary talking-head take, three alternative hook takes, the screen recording or supporting footage you need, the proof moment, the disclosure placement and the final CTA shot.

What is a UGC video script template?
A fill-in structure for one creator-led video: audience, angle, hook, honest context, product moment, demonstration, proof, limitation and CTA.
Should a UGC video be fully scripted?
Not always. Script the claims, numbers and disclosure precisely; deliver the rest in your own words.
How long should it be?
As long as the message needs: 15 to 20, 30 to 45, or 45 to 60 seconds are the common structures.
What makes a good first sentence?
It makes the problem, the demonstration or the lesson clear, and the rest of the video answers it.
Can one script have multiple hooks?
Yes. Record two or three hook takes for the same script and keep the strongest in the edit.
Do I need a personal story?
No, and never invent one. Honest observation beats fabricated experience.
Can I make a testimonial for a product I have not used?
No. A claimed experience you did not have is a fake testimonial.
Do sponsored videos need disclosure?
Yes, clearly and where the platform and law require it. An affiliate relationship counts too.
Can ReadyForm edit a UGC video?
It makes the complete edit from your own takes: take selection, cuts, captions, pacing, B-roll and sound. You review the result before you publish it.
Does this template guarantee performance?
No. It protects clarity and honesty; the results depend on the idea, the delivery and the audience.
Is the script template free?
Yes, without an email address or account.
