The final approval question: can the intended viewer understand the full message without being misled or unnecessarily distracted by the edit?
Close the review with one of five outcomes.
- Video approved. Every stage passed. The exported file is the version that ships.
- Approved with minor corrections. Small, listed fixes remain. Re-check only the affected stages after the corrections.
- Substantial edit revision required. Message, takes or structure need work. Return to the edit before styling anything further.
- Return to source footage. The required sentence, take or shot does not exist in the edit. Check the recordings, or record again.
- Export or platform revision required. The edit is right but the rendered file or the processed upload is not. Fix the export, not the timeline.
