How to work with sounds, music and looks

The audio layer and the colour grade are part of the complete edit, and both stay adjustable. Sound effects and music live in the Sounds panel; colour lives under Look.

    Add or swap a sound effect

    Add sound opens the picker with Standard sounds (whooshes, risers, pops) and Your sounds, your own uploads. Search, preview, Use.

    Choose background music

    Add background music or Change music opens the music picker; Remove drops the track. The brand edit rule Background music (beat-free, with beat, or off) steers what the AI picks by default.

    Balance the audio

    Every clip has a Volume; Clip volume adjusts it, Auto level puts it back on the automatic leveling, and Mute audio silences a clip (a B-roll clip with loud location sound, for instance).

    Set the look

    Look colours the footage only; captions keep their brand colours. Seven grades ship with the editor: Clean bright, Cinematic warm, Cinematic cool, Vibrant pop, Editorial, Moody dark and Punchy modern, each with a Strength slider. None turns it off.

If something looks off

  • The music fights the speech. Lower the music clip's volume or choose a beat-free track. Speech carries the message; music carries the mood.
  • Every video needs the same fixes. Move the decision into the brand's edit rules (Sound effects, Background music, Color grade) so the next edit starts where you want it.
