How to choose a caption style

The caption style is a whole-video decision: one look, applied everywhere. You can set it when uploading (Caption style) or change it any time in the editor.

  1. 1

    Open the style step

In the editor, use the Caption style control. The header says what to do: browse with the arrows, every pick shows on your video right away.

  2. 2

    Judge on your own footage

The preview renders each style on your actual video, not on a sample. Look at a real sentence, a highlighted word and a number.

  3. 3

    Mind the recommendation

One style carries a Recommended badge based on your content. It's a suggestion, not a lock.

  4. 4

    Confirm with Continue

The style applies to the whole video. Scene-specific needs (a highlight, a text overlay) come after, on top of the style.

  5. 5

    Fine-tune if needed

Customize adjusts the chosen style: position, size, uppercase, animation, effect, spacing. Small moves first; the style already carries the design.

If something looks off

  • Captions are hard to read over busy footage. Pick a style with a stronger effect, or add one under Customize: Outline, Outline thick, Shadow or Block, plus an effect colour.
  • The style ignores my brand colours. Brand caption colours apply live in preview and export when set. Check the brand's Caption highlight color and Body caption color, and that the video uses that brand.
