How to customise the captions
Customize adjusts the chosen caption style for this video. Change one thing at a time and judge it in the preview; the style already carries a designed balance.
Position
Top, Middle or Bottom. The dashed lines in the preview show the three positions. Bottom is the common choice; move up when platform UI or your framing collides with it.
Size and case
Text size scales every caption word (100% is the style default). Uppercase puts every word in capitals, with Auto and Always as the options. Weight sets how heavy the normal words sit; the highlight word keeps its own weight.
Animation
How words enter: None, Fade, Reveal, Highlight, Typewriter, Bounce or Wave. The preview holds the moment they appear so you can compare honestly. Animation should support reading; when in doubt, calmer wins.
Effects
Outline, Outline thick, Shadow or Block put contrast behind the text so it stays readable on any footage, each with its own Effect colour. Effect on highlights too extends it to highlighted words.
Spacing and wrapping
Line height and Letter spacing tune the block's density. Lines chooses between wrapping long lines across multiple lines or squeezing onto one line that shrinks.
If something looks off
- Captions cover the speaker's face. Change Position, reduce Text size, or lower Words per caption so the block gets shorter.
- Long words break awkwardly. Switch Lines to the one-line mode (it shrinks to fit) or reduce letter spacing and size.
