How to work with highlighted words
Highlights make one word in a sentence carry the emphasis: its own colour, its own font treatment, sometimes its own size. ReadyForm picks highlights while making the edit; every one of them is editable.
- 1
Check the AI's picks
Play the video and watch which words light up. A good highlight is the point of the sentence; a bad one is just the loudest word.
- 2
Mark your own
Select a word and choose Mark as highlight, or Mark as big highlight for the oversized treatment. Make big and Make normal switch between them.
- 3
Pick the layout
Highlights come as Stacked, Inline or Big. The app guards the rules for you: only one highlight per sentence, and a layout that won't fit says so.
- 4
Remove what misleads
Remove highlight returns the word to the line. A highlight that changes how the sentence reads out of context should go.
If something looks off
- The highlight colour is wrong for my brand. Highlight colour comes from the brand kit (Caption highlight color) and applies live in preview and export. Set it there once.
- The big highlight won't fit. The app tells you when a layout won't fit the line. Shorten the caption group (Words per caption) or use the normal highlight.
