Captions & style

Captions are made with the edit itself: the speech is transcribed, every word gets its timing, and the captions render into the video. There is no separate subtitle file to manage; the story in the editor is the captions. That gives you three layers of control: the words, the style for the whole video, and the fine-tuning in Customize and per scene.

To fix a wrong name or number, read how to correct caption text. To change the look, choose a caption style and then customise it. Words per caption and highlights decide how the captions read, and a brand kit sets colours and fonts once for every video that uses it. If captions lag, fail to refresh after a take switch or look different than expected, go to troubleshooting.
