Words per caption and timing
Two controls decide how captions read: Words per caption sets how many words show on screen at once, and the sync machinery keeps every word on its spoken moment, including after you edit.

Set words per caption
The control does what it says: how many words show on screen at once. Fewer words punch harder and wipe faster; more words read calmer and hold longer. Judge it at phone size.

Keep meaningful groups together
Numbers with their units, names, and a negation with its verb belong in one group. If a break splits meaning, adjust the count or edit the words.

Let edits re-sync
After editing words or switching takes, timing is briefly estimated; the app labels it and fixes it on the next preview automatically.

Force a re-sync when you want it now
Re-sync with audio re-times the captions immediately. The confirmation counts what changed ("2 scenes back in sync with the audio") or reports that everything was already in sync.
If something looks off
- Re-sync failed. The app retries on the next preview by itself. If a scene keeps failing, make one small edit in that scene (or switch a take back and forth) to trigger a fresh transcription.
- Captions flash too fast to read. Raise Words per caption, or slow the moment itself: restore a cut pause around the sentence in the story.
