How to correct caption text

Caption corrections happen in the story, not in a separate subtitle editor. Fix the word once and the caption, the highlight and the timing all follow it.

Check the words a transcript typically gets wrong: names, brands, numbers, technical terms and the exact wording of your CTA.

    Find the word

    Click through the story or play the preview; a click on any word plays from that word. The mistake is where you hear it.

    Edit it

    Double-click the word (or right-click and choose Edit text) and type the correction. Keep it what was actually said: captions represent the speech.

    Handle split or merged words

    Merge into one word joins a wrongly split term ("Ready" + "Form"); Add word inserts one the transcript missed.

    Take a word out of the captions

    Select it and use the remove-from-captions control. The audio stays; the caption doesn't show the word.

    Watch the sentence once

    Play the sentence after the fix. If the timing looks estimated, the app says so and Re-sync with audio fixes it immediately.

If something looks off

  • The same name is wrong everywhere. Correct each occurrence; better, put the name in your brand's Brand name in copy and keywords so the next video detects it correctly from the start. A script pasted at upload (Script or topic) gets accuracy near 100%.
  • A speaker label is wrong. Click the speaker on that turn to change it. Speaker changes apply to the whole turn, and the app tells you how many words it affects.
